About
BAHJA

‘Bahja’ to honor my fiance’s late mother, an artist, and former owner of half of the tools I use to make each piece. In Arabic, bahja (بَهْجَة) means joy, delight, happiness, or radiance. It describes a bright, cheerful state of being or a sense of beauty that brings a smile to the heart.

Bahja Ceramics is rooted in the idea that the things we surround ourselves with should have a little personality.

My style naturally leans toward pieces that feel collected rather than overly coordinated. I lean into organic shapes, visible signs of the hand, unexpected details, playful color, and objects that are just as interesting sitting on a shelf as they are being used. Bahja lives somewhere between functional pottery and art for the home.

All pieces are handmade with love from our pool cabana.
